" The Father's House"
Several aspects of God's character appeal to me but none appeals to me more than the fatherhood and motherhood of God.This may be because I had good parents. I know God is not man nor is "she" a woman yet he embodies the stereotypes qualities of these genders perfectly well. Specifically, nothing brings me closer to tears than hearing, singing and reading about the fatherhood of God. A good father can be a good mirror though a poor imitation of the real deal(God). My father was confident in his masculinity yet unashamed of his femininity. It is that balanced dance of strength, vulnerability and authenticity that endeared him to me and also made him irreplaceable. So I kind of get it best when you talk of Father's love, father's love, father's choice or father's House. My Jam since the year began is Father's house by Cory Asbury
Here is the first stanza
Sometimes on this journey, I get lost in my mistakes. What looks to me like weakness is a canvas for Your strength. And my story isn't over, my story's just begun. Failure won't define me 'cause that's what my Father does. Yeah, failure won't define me 'cause that's what my Father does.
Chorus: ooh, lay your burdens down
Ooh, here in the Father's house
Check your shame at the door (ooh)
'Cause it ain't welcome anymore (ooh)
Ooh, you're in the Father's house
Stanza 2 : Arrival's not the end game, the journey's where You are. You never wanted perfect, You just wanted my heart. And the story isn't over, if the story isn't good. A failure's never final when the Father is in the room. A failure's never final when the Father is in the room.....
